Taxis Go Pink

A fleet of 10 pink taxis have been deployed recently at KIA ( Kempegowda International Airport), in a partnership between KSTDC (Karnataka State Tourism Development) and BIAL (Bengaluru International Airport Limited).

These exclusive cabs are driven only by women drivers, and cater only to women passengers, ferrying them to and from the airport. An applause-worthy example of woman empowerment with safety as its agenda.

New Name Board for Cubbon Park After 70 Years

After 1948, Cubbon park has officially been renamed Sri Chamarajendra Park by the instillation of a board on one of the gates. It has been designed to mimic that of the neighbouring High Court, with two more major gates to be set up in the future. Having four major entrances, the one at Hudson Circle will mirror the Central Library entrance.
