Starting with Navratri, the nine-night homage to the divine feminine, where the spirit of Goddess Durga shines brightly. This vibrant festival invites us to dance, sing, and express gratitude, transforming our streets and homes into colourful displays of devotion.

In many households, the Golu tradition takes center stage, showcasing intricate arrangements of dolls and figurines on the beautifully designed steps. Each display tells a unique story –whether from our cherished epics or everyday life – capturing the essence of culture and creativity.

After Navratri comes the culmination on the tenth day with Dussehra, commemorating the defeat of the demon king Raavan by maryada purushottam Rama. It is also known as Vijayadashmi, the day of victory. Symbolically, we fight our inner demons and conquer our selves to become better human beings.

The festivities culminate with the dazzling celebration of Diwali, the festival of lights, which is all about cleansing of our homes and surroundings, family feasts, prayers and celebrations, firecrackers and new clothes, sweets and smiles for all. The main aim is to let light prevail all around and dispel darkness in all its forms through the traditional lighting of diyas and deepams.
